Football La Liga Premier League Barca lied when they said they could have signed Coutinho for €200 million and this proves it

Philippe Coutinho failed to materialise his dream move to Barcelona during the summer and now he’s back in action for Liverpool.
The Catalan club made three offers for the Brazilian star, with the last one reportedly being in the region of 114million pounds.
However, it was said that the Reds offered the former Inter Milan to Barcelona on deadline day, but for an insane fee.
Well, that’s according to Barcelona director Albert Soler, who said in a press conference that the Blaugrana could have signed Coutinho for 200million euros, with Liverpool immediately rejecting these claims.
But everyone was shocked with these comments, as nobody knew why Liverpool would name a price on the player’s head if they didn’t want to sell him.
However, now it has been revealed that Soler lied as Liverpool never named a price on Coutinho.
German newspaper Der Spiegel, via Football Leaks, have published some emails which prove that Liveprool never mentioned a 200million euros fee to Barcelona.
The Merseyside club responded to the first 72million bid on July 20’th saying their player was “not for sale at any price.”
And when the Blaugrana made the second 90million pounds offer, Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards responded with an email, which read: “I ask you amicably to stop harassing Coutinho publicly and privately. No amount of money will change our minds.”
The last part of the email proves that Barca lied when they said they would have signed Coutinho for 200million.
