The real reason why Alvaro Morata chose to join Chelsea in the summer

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has been a big hit so far for the Blues since completing his move to the west London club during the summer.

The Spain international leads the Premier League goalscoring charts along with Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku, with six strikes each in as many matches.

On Wednesday night, the former Real Madrid man scored the first goal for Chelsea in the 2-1 victory against Altetico Madrid in Group C Champions League clash.

And recently he gave an interview, revealing that it’s easy for him to play with the likes of Eden Hazard.

“It’s not difficult playing with this kind of player. He’s one of the three best players in the world. It’s easy for me playing with him.”

He also spoke about the difficult start in England, especially after losing a penalty in the Community Shield shootout loss against Arsenal.

“The first official match I made a mistake and I suffered for a few days,” he said.

And finally he revealed just why he chose to join Chelsea during the summer.

He added: “I came to Chelsea because one club and one coach believed in me. I’m very happy.”
