Raphael Varane is definitely one of the fastest defenders in Europe right now.
The France international often makes some incredible sprints, demonstrating that pace is one of the best qualities he possesses.
He showed in midweek in Real Madrid’s 3-1 win against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League that he can run, by winning the race against Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang.
We have to add that Aubameyang is known as one of the fastest strikers in Europe.
He makes the run beside the opponent before making a well-timed challenge to get the possession off his opponent.
And in 2013, he did the exact same thing against Lionel Messi in Copa del Rey semi-final, while he was only 19.
