Eden Hazard will have to be the protagonist at Chelsea more often to reach the level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
The Blues face their direct tital rivals Manchester City on Saturday at Stamford Bridge, just three days after defeating Atletico Madrid at Wanda Metroplitano 2-1.
The Italian manager believes that the Champions League is the competition in which Hazard has the chance to prove the world he’s one of the best.
And while the former Juventus boss believes the Beligum international is a top player, he has revealed the one thing which is preventing him from reaching the level of Messi and Ronaldo.
“He has a style to improve in this specific situation. I think that, sometimes, Eden is … If he scores one goal, he’s happy and then, if there is another situation, he prefers to make an assist rather than scoring twice,” said Conte.
“I see, for Ronaldo, that if he scores once he wants two, three, four. It’s the same for Messi. Yes, he can improve.”
