Man United receive huge boost for top January target as Barcelona pull out of race [Mirror]
Manchester United have enjoyed a dream start so far in the Premier League and Champions League.
They have collected 19 points from seven league matches, and currently lead the Premier League table along with local rivals Manchester City.
Their run in the Champions League also hasn’t been less impressive, as they lead their group after winning the first two matches.
And more good news emerged on Tuesday morning for the Red Devils, as they received a huge boost for one of the January top targets.
Schalke’s Leon Groetzka has been the subject of interest from Jose Mourinho’s side and Barcelona.
But the Mirror are reporting that Barcelona have pulled out of race, leaving the road open for the England giants.
Barcelona scout, Ariedo Braida confirmed that the Catalans will not be making any move for Groetzka.
“He is certainly a great player, but for Barcelona it is too soon,” said Braida.
“I travel around the world in search of great talent, but our demands are extremely high.”
