Real Madrid have defeated Espanyol 2-0 on Sunday night.

Los Blancos have managed to come back to the winning ways after suffering to get the full three points in the early stages of the league campaign.

It was Isco who opened the scoring in the 30’th minute, thanks to an assist from Cristiano Ronaldo.

The same player scored again in the 71’st minute for the final result, but this time it was Marco Asensio who assisted.

Earlier today, Barcelona also won their league outing against Las Palmas 3-0, in a match which was held behind closed doors.

However, Zinedine Zidane’s side have collected 14 points from their first seven matches and are seven points behind the Catalan rivals.

Los Blancos now occupy the 5’th place, and are only two points behind the second placed Sevilla.
